This would provide more flexibility for savers and help them to make more informed decisions about their future. Personally, I think that the LISA has the potential to be a valuable tool for young people saving for a first home, but it needs to be adapted to the unique challenges of the London housing market. If the government is serious about supporting first-time buyers, it needs to take a closer look at the LISA and make the necessary changes to make it fit for purpose in London. In the meantime, young Londoners are left to navigate a complex and often frustrating system, with the hope that the government will eventually step in and provide the support they need.
