The Xpeng G9L, a high-end SUV with both BEV and EREV powertrain options, has arrived at 119 stores across China ahead of its sales launch. This five-seat family vehicle, measuring 5.1 meters in length, features rear-wheel steering and a starting price of 259,800 yuan (38,530 USD). The all-electric variant can travel up to 702 km on a full 91.9 kWh LFP battery charge. The dual-motor AWD variant adds a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor in the front axle, resulting in a combined peak power output of 430 kW (577 hp) and a range of 660 km on a single charge. A larger 110 kWh battery pack is also available for an extended range of 755 km.
The Xpeng G9L EREV, on the other hand, features a dual-motor AWD system with a front e-motor producing 160 kW and a rear one producing 230 kW (308 hp), resulting in a combined peak power output of 370 kW (496 hp). It accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.95 seconds and offers an electric range of 435 km under CLTC conditions. The EREV variant also includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol-powered engine, generating 110 kW (148 hp), which acts as a generator and provides a mixed range of 1,602 km (CLTC) with a 60-liter fuel tank.
